About Starstruck
Starstruck is a quiet, bittersweet story told through my own album of fifteen solo piano pieces. In 1957 you come to a house on a hill to buy a piano, and find a man who has spent twenty-seven years mourning a woman he let leave on the last ferry. Each lost page of music you find, he plays. While he plays, you catch the light his music gives off, following the real performance rather than a beat chart. A comet draws closer with every song, and how much light you gather decides whether it passes or falls, and with it, whether he finally lets go.
