Melbees Daily

Melbees Daily is a free word puzzle that runs in the browser, with one new board a day, the same for every player. A honeycomb of letters hides the secret words. On each hex you decide whether its letter belongs, and the Pollen number on a hex counts the right letters around it, the way Minesweeper counts mines. Every mistake costs a petal, so you reason first and fill in the words at the end. The word base behind it took months of curation: about 21,600 words in English, Portuguese, Spanish and French, each with a description, at least two curiosities and a familiarity rating that sets its difficulty. How it was built: I'm a software architect with 20+ years of experience and the solo developer. I write the specs, the interfaces and the class and sequence diagrams first, and AI coding agents write the code from them; I play every build before it ships.
