The Pool

The Pool is an ultra-realistic simulation of literally everything that can go wrong with a set of complex swimming pools, from the plant rooms behind the tiles. It runs in real time, with real chemistry. Nothing is fake. Every valve, pump, gauge, lamp, bleeper and klaxon is wired into one world simulation: open a valve and the water goes somewhere, dose the wrong chemical and the pH answers back, let a filter clog and the pressure gauge creeps up while the water clouds over. The control room shows you what is happening; putting it right usually means walking down to the plant room concerned and doing it by hand. So when your pool is full of murky water, the remains of a "floater" or the aftershock of a swimming gala, it is going to take your wits, your engineering knowledge and your fault-finding skill to get it ready for the next day's swimmers.
