About Hullbound
Six people on a small ship you can redraw, taking it to a far port a few real days away. They eat, sleep, keep the air going and walk the corridors on their own, in real time, a minute a minute. Raiders board about once a day, whether you're watching or not.
Every voyage is an episode. Season 1, The Long Quiet, starts with a courier and a sealed case, and what you choose at one stop comes back at the next and decides how the episode ends. The lines are written as you play by Claude, Anthropic's AI model, from an outline of the season and the choices you made. The costs and numbers are the game's own, and the story never changes them. If Claude can't be reached, the season's own written lines play instead.
About once a day the ship docks at a base and a choice waits for you. Pay for fuel in food or in parts. Take on a passenger, one more mouth. Cut through a debris field where raiders hide. Leave a sick crew member behind to get well. Food is eaten while it waits, and if you leave it twelve hours the captain picks the safe option.
Every day the ship passes a wreck: the daily ship from Derelict, the same one for everyone. Raid it, or a practice ship, and what you carry out comes home as meals and parts. Sometimes a survivor comes out with you and joins the crew, carrying the story of the ship they came off.
Parts build the ship bigger. Open it in the editor, draw new rooms and press Build. A room works by its name: a bigger cargo hold keeps more food, a medbay heals, a bridge keeps watch. Up to 50 crew.
At the port the yard pays for everyone who made it, you get a record of the voyage to share, and the next leg is longer and harder.
Come back later to see who made it.
On Android it's on Google Play too, and the app sends a notice when the ship docks: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bananafestdestiny.hullbound&re...
