About The Last Reaping

The plague took the town. The Stone wants the rest. The Last Reaping is a plague and folk-horror colony sim in 16 px pixel art, played in the browser. Eight survivors and a wagon come north to a valley that was paid for long ago. You lay out the village and set the work; the villagers live in it on their own. They farm, haul, court, wed, raise children, fall sick and bury their dead. Or they don't bury them, and the air turns. • Every soul has a name. Villagers keep families, a faith, their moods and a breaking point. Children tag along at work and grow into a calling. • Season by season. Fields tire and want rotating, beasts want fodder, winter wants firewood and candles, and storms throw lightning at the tallest roof. • The dead foul the air. Corpses and rot breed miasma, and miasma breeds plague. Burn them, or bury them deep. • Night raids. Things come out of the dark after dusk, and some nights something with a name leads them. Lamps, walls, traps and the watch keep them off. • The Tithe Stone. Each summer the Stone names what it is owed. On Reaping Night it collects, one way or another. • Three faiths, omens and the Old Ways. The Stone, the Bell and the Green each want different things. Lost rites turn up in books, and pedlars walk up the road with goods for pence. • Hand it to an AI. Connect any MCP client as the Reeve and watch it run your village live, a few deeds and a why at a time. Every sound is synthesized in the browser: birds, frogs, bells, the bard's lute. Saves live online with offline play, and there's a Windows desktop app. One purchase ($4.99) unlocks both. Watch the trailer: https://reaping.zodeus.com/media/the-last-reaping-trailer.mp4
